Ginger Ale’s

Commercial work for:

Ginger Ale’s

Ginger Ale’s is one of my recurring clients that needs a constant stream of new image content. A lot of their marketing revolves around seasons and holidays, so we are usually working 2-3 months ahead of any events.

For Ginger Ale’s projects, I am generally working directly with their marketing team and one of the co-owners. They provide me with a product list ahead of time and then I assist with gathering props and prepping the lighting and backgrounds. We often work with in-house staff as models and hand models as well.

It’s been fun to see this company grow since I first came to know them, as they now have 9 franchises across southeatern Illinois.

Client Objectives

Goal #1

Customer engagement

Ginger Ale’s has a solid social media presence with a lot of fun content, daily inspiration, and really hitting on the FOMO aspect (get your fix every day, etc). Color is a huge draw and they want bright, mouth-watering, irresistible photos to entice their audience.

Goal #2

Sales & Growth

The franchise is constantly growing and evolving with new locations, new fans, and new food and drink offerings. They tap into seasonal and holiday themes, and again want to encourage visitors to return to them often — weekly, and even daily.

Prior to each session, the marketing team sends me a list of new products (food and/or drinks) that need photos. Any upcoming promotions, specials, or holidays are included, and necessary backdrops and props are gathered. If any off-site locations or models are needed, those are arranged by the client (since I am traveling 2 hours to them). We also have some consistent props that stay in the rotation, which streamlines the basic photos that are needed at every session.

Following the session, I provide a full gallery for the client with 1 image download per product or scene (most products get 2 scenes: one on white and one styled). Ginger Ale’s also needs vector image cut outs of their products photographed on white, so I prepare those and deliver via Dropbox.

Throughout the session, we are often talking image usage and strategy… what customers want to see, what will make them buy, how the images will be used, holiday/promo scheduling, etc.

The Results!!

Goal #3

Consistent content

With the seasonal rotations, our sessions vary a lot with props and backdrops, but one thing always stays the same: consistent, even lighting and bright, true-to-life color so that customers know exactly what they are ordering and what it will look like.

I have pleasure of working with Holly and can confidently say she is an exceptional photographer. From start to finish, her creativity and artistic vision truly set her apart. She has a remarkable eye for detail and consistently captures moments in a way that feels both distinctive and beautiful.

In addition to the quality of her work, Holly offers an impressive turnaround time and is incredibly friendly and easy to work with. She makes the entire process seamless and enjoyable.

Our team previously contracted with a marketing firm, but the photography simply did not compare to the quality Holly delivers. We were grateful for the opportunity to return to Holly Birch Photography and have been extremely pleased with the results.

Don’t take my word for it…
