It's sunny out, the weather is warming up and love is in the air! Happy Valentine's Day! I am so sick of winter and am ready to get out this spring and photograph a bunch of engagement sessions. We'll start with Ann + Matt's e-session from this past Saturday, February 12, which also happens to be Abraham Lincoln's birthday. His 202nd birthday, to be exact. Ann is one of my best friends from high school, and she has found a great match in Matt! We had a great time during their session and then went over details for their wedding which is coming up next month while we dined on Jimmy John's. :)
Now, Ann is one of most fashionable people I know. She taught me a lot of things over the years. She taught me that GAP jeans are worth the extra expense, and that I should try on the long and lean ones because I'll love them! She taught me that flannel, track pants, and purple jeans are not ok. She did forgive my Wranglers and belt buckles though because of my work with cattle. The point of all this is to say that Ann and Matt were not "matchy-matchy" for their e-session, but everything "went." And the photos are going to look fantastic in their guestbook against the variations of blue they chose for their invitations. The photo below was just begging for black and white, but the rest are in color because I couldn't avoid keeping Ann's beautiful sweaters and Matt's bright blue eyes in color! Ann may not like this one, but I think women always look beautiful when they laugh. You better watch out, Matt! Ol' Abe is trying to woo your woman!
