I love it when couples come back to the University of Illinois campus where they met to revisit the places where they met, dated, and fell in love. Ariel emailed me saying they were officially already married, but never had engagement photos done and though they live in Chicago now, really wanted a session back in Champaign. During the course of the session, I learned that TECHNICALLY they first met at Legend's, a bar on campus. I wonder how many love stories have started in that place? <3 Congrats, Ariel + Volkan on your new marriage, and I wish you a lifetime of happiness!
Katie and Phil chose Father's Day 2013 to share their vows on the south end of the Quad just in front of Foellinger Auditorium. The weather was absolutely perfect, and my second shooter Colleen and I both raved about how great the light was. I adored the navy bridesmaid dresses with the coral/pink-colored sashes. Such a great color combination! Some of my favorite moments were the guys playing wiffle ball before the ceremony, when Phil cried as Katie walked down the aisle, the dangerous scavenger hunt game at the reception, and when Phil's mom started to cry when she realized their mother-son dance was to "You Are My Sunshine." It's moments like these that remind me I have the best job! Leave a comment below for Katie + Phil, and after 50 comments, they will receive a complimentary 10x15" mounted print of their choice. Thanks for looking!
