CASE STUDY

ImageWorks Design Studio

Commercial work for:

IdeaWorks

Ginger Ale’s is one of my recurring clients that needs a constant stream of new image content. A lot of their marketing revolves around seasons and holidays, so we are usually working 2-3 months ahead of any events.

For Ginger Ale’s projects, I am generally working directly with their marketing team and one of the co-owners. They provide me with a product list ahead of time and then I assist with gathering props and prepping the lighting and backgrounds. We often work with in-house staff as models and hand models as well.

It’s been fun to see this company grow since I first came to know them, as they now have 9 franchises across southeatern Illinois.

Client Objectives

Goal #1

Sales & growth

Capitalilze on the momentum the client received from the initial Kickstarter campaign; improve visuals across website and socials and ensure consistency and cohesion going forward

The Planning Process

Session Prep

Drumroll, please…

Goal #2

Consistent content

Create eye-catching images of the cases and accessories that capture the essence of the brand and the motivation behind it; generate clean, colorful images and videos that show off the products

Together with the client and the project manager a shot list was created for each session, listing out each individual product that needed assets. Usually a separate shot list was created for both photo and video to help with organization and to make sure items didn’t get missed. A planning call usually happened a week or two prior to the session and goals were outlined so everyone was on the same page.

A large piece of the puzzle for OpenCase is models (both full person and hands). Each model was provided with a suggested clothing list and instructed to come with clean nails. The project manager created a spreadsheet to keep the models, locations, and scheduling organized. I often assisted in securing models, locations, and sourcing props.

The Results!!

Goal #3

Audience engagement

Drive traffic to the website, online shop, and socials to promote company growth; reach new target audiences for increased sales and revenue; gain reputation and following within the tech community

Investing in brand photography is an absolute must for my business, and for that, I trust Holly. We’ve done multiple sessions, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Holly has a fantastic eye, understands my brand completely, and makes sure my personality comes through in every image.

Prioritizing brand photography in my budget continues to pay off — every time I use my images, I find new ways they add value and depth to my marketing. Booking regular sessions allows me to grow my collection alongside my needs and build a strong, cohesive set of images I can pull from for any scenario.

Don’t take my word for it…
