Nevan | Tween birthday photoshoot

My nephew Nevan moved to Florida a couple years ago with his mom (my sister Stephanie). They live in the land of Gators, where in fact Stephanie works at the University of Florida.  For the past couple of years, Nevan has been able to come back to Illinois and spend about a month rotating between family (my mom, my dad, my grandpa, and us) and he spent about 2 weeks total with us this year.  Before he left about a week ago, we gave him a fresh new haircut and I made him put on a clean shirt and take some new photos for his favorite Aunt Holly. ;)  He turned 11 yesterday and is flying back to Florida tomorrow with my mom.

See you in November, Nevan!!  Love you!!!

Photography Workshop at Sunset with Jessica Weinstock

I don't photograph many families anymore (I reserve a few open dates in the fall for minis or returning clients), but I never turn away the chance to learn from a great photographer and teacher!  For our summer Central Illinois Professional Photographers' group meeting, we wanted to host a hands-on workshop for our members and guests that would get everyone excited for the upcoming busy fall season.  Jessica Weinstock is a family & newborn photographer from the north suburbs of Chicago and she brought a TON of great tips and inspiration for us all.  I am excited to use some of my tricks and tactics at sessions this fall!

HUGE THANKS to my co-leaders Kristin Darling & Emily Donohoe for helping me plan this great meeting and workshop.

Speaking of... my fall mini sessions will be announced soon, once I decide which weekend works best for the bulk of them.  I'm currently taking names and email addresses for those who want to be in the first to know and have first crack at booking when I announce. Fill out my contact form on my site here if interested, or email me and I'll get you on the list!

Banker Headshots | Illinois National Bank

A new team of lenders from Illinois National Bank in southwest Champaign needed some updated individual headshots and then photos of them together as a new lending team.  Justin and David had me bring my traveling headshot studio to their branch and set up in the lobby area.  We did some images with a backdrop and some with the neat existing surroundings of their building.  I think this group of photos shows my versatility as a headshot photographer and gives these two lenders some great options for their print and web marketing needs. Is it time you got a fresh, new headshot?  Shoot me a message!
