FAQ

What do we do while we wait?

I will take you around the courthouse hallways for portraits. We'll look for good window light! And I can photograph any family & friend groups present as time allows (these can also be done after the ceremony).

How will we download our images?

Images will be available in an online gallery. The link is shareable with friends and family, and anyone with the link may also purchase lab-quality prints for convenience.

Can we exchange rings and vows?

Many of the judges will ask if you have rings to exchange and if you have your own vows or want to use the traditional vows. Depending on your wishes, they can alter the ceremony to your preferences.

Can we order prints or an album?

Of course! I offer lab-quality prints and canvases for an additional fee, available through the gallery. Albums are custom designed and require a 50% deposit to begin the design process. Albums start at $350.

Can we take photos outside?

You sure can! There is generally some time after the ceremony to do some portraits outside the courthouse. This is a great time to get a few more group photos too with family & friends.

Are cell phones allowed?

Yes! Cell phones are now allowed in the Champaign County Courthouse.

What else do we need to know?

I will arrive at the courthouse promptly at 11:30am (the security staff will not let me in with a camera before then).  One hour of coverage is sufficient to cover the ceremony, even if you have to wait your turn in to see the judge. Weddings are performed first come, first served on the day of, so I recommend checking in a bit before 11:30 if possible (especially for Friday weddings which fill up quickly).

This courthouse wedding special is only good on weekdays at the Champaign County Courthouse and the Piatt County Courthouse. A separate pricing guide is available for backyard, weeknight, or weekend weddings.
