Ready to book a brand session? Here’s where to start!
Your business is growing. It’s time to step up your marketing game. Your socials are stale, and your headshots are from 10+ years ago. Your brand has evolved and you actually have a real logo now. You’re starting to put your name up there, but your visuals need to match the vibe and the brand you’re putting out into the world. That’s where your brand photos come in.
I’m here to tell you: you don’t have to have all your ducks 🦆 in a row before you inquire about or start planning a brand session.
That’s why I strongly encourage a free discovery call for every brand inquiry I receive.
I ask the questions to flesh out some of the details and really get to the heart of what it is that you truly need for your business or brand.
This is strategy at work from the get-go. The call is less about me telling you about the process and what you’ll get from my services and deliverables (though that is definitely part of it), and more of me asking about your goals, any upcoming launches or new products/services, your online presence, any holes in your marketing or image library, your brand kit (if you have one), and any inspiration or looks you’d like to emulate. We’ll also talk timelines in case you have any deadlines you’re trying to meet. We’ll work backwards on the calendar to ensure your key dates are met.
My process also involves creating an inspiration Pinterest board. The purpose of the board isn’t to copy photos, but to get an overall feel for what photos you like, your vibe, your colors, and style of photos that will work for your mindset, marketing, and brand. I do this when I get my own photos taken too and it’s one of my very favorite parts of the process! It definitely helps my photographer see what’s in my head and make sure we’re on the same page visually as well as “on paper.”
Once the call is done and you’re ready to move to the next step, I will send over a proposal with your pricing options, including optional a la carte add-ons. Add-ons include things like hair & makeup services by my trusted local HMUA artists and brand audits.
Then after you’ve booked, signed, and paid, we can start the next step of the process — planning! I will ask you to start your Pinterest board and send me a link or invite, and I will start working on your one-sheet session planning guide.
You’ll also get guided reminders throughout the process with helpful information about props, packing, and outfit suggestions. There will also be reminders about the session itself (start time, parking, studio info, etc).
My goal is for you to feel supported throughout the entire process. I want you to know that you chose the right photographer via my experience, my expertise, and my guidance from first inquiry to final images (and beyond!). My hope is that you’ll feel confident that you made a great choice and I KNOW you’ll feel confident in front of my camera!
And yes, you read that right… I don’t leave you hanging afterward either! Following your session, you’ll get support in selecting your photo downloads and favorites, as well as an image usage guide checklist so you’ll know what to do with your photos after you download. The biggest tragedy would be me photographing a beautiful session for you and then the photos sit on your hard drive and never live where your audience can see them.
And don’t think I forgot about the backups… you’ll also be reminded to make backup copies of your photos and store them in a few places so you never lose access to your downloads.
So, now that you know the entire process from start to finish… what’s holding you back?
Are you ready to book?
Maybe you want to talk it through with me via Zoom or even in person at a coffee shop? (I’ll have the tea, thanks!) ;)
